Dr. Saranga Diyabalanage

Currently a Senior Lecturer, Faculty of Applied Sciences, University of Sri Jayewardenepura

Dr. Saranga holds B.Sc. Special degree in Environmental Science and Natural Resources Management from Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka (2013) and Ph.D. in Environmental Sciences from University of Peradeniya (2019). His research work is mainly focused in the field of environmental geochemistry; bridging of disciplines, including the chemical, biological and geological sciences, to address multi-faceted environmental problems and health impacts. He has published 13 SCI journal articles (SCOPUS h index 7) in reputed journals such as Science of the Total Environment, Exposure and Health, Applied Geochemistry, Environmental Geochemistry and Health, Trace elements in Medicine and Biology etc. His ongoing research work is focused on Geo-environmental implications of Chronic Kidney Diseases of uncertain etiology (CKDu) and Isotope geochemistry of sedimentary aquifers in Sri Lanka.
