Teacher’s Training Program-09 Provinces Covered
A nation-wide workshop organized by the Section Cof the Sri Lanka Association for the Advancement of Science (SLAAS) to improve and promote research initiatives amongst school teachers. It was an effort to strengthen the actions taken by the two Ministries (Ministry of Science, Technology and Research and Education Ministry) in order to improve Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education starting with a class of school teachers. The workshop was opened diverse subject areas ranging from the importance of observation in research, ecology, basic chemistry, and material sciences, botany, and up to basic statistical tools for basic research.
