The main objective of the project is to publish a concise dictionary in Sinhala medium with accurate terminological descriptions of selected technical terms in the field of research. The project is sponsored and directed by the International Center for Multidisciplinary Studies (ICMS) of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. The 1<sup>st<\/sup> phase of the Dictionary was initiated in 2017 and was led by the former Dean of the Faculty, Prof. D.P.S. Chandrakumara, chaired by the former Director of ICMS, Prof. Chamalie Nahallage and steered by two members of ICMS; Prof. Ven. Medagampitiye Wijithadhamma (Humanities) and Prof. Ven. Pinnawala Sangasumana (Social Sciences). The 1<sup>st<\/sup> Volume of the Dictionary was published in April, 2019 in concomitant to the 60<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary celebrations of the university.<\/p>\n<p>The writing panel consists of at least 60 members. Emeritus Professor M. M. Karunanayake, Emeritus Professor Jayadeva Uyangoda, Emeritus Professor B. A. Volume II was initiated under the guidance of the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Shirantha Heenkenda, Dr. Sujeewa Hettiarachchi, the Director of ICMS, Prof. Ven. Medagoda Abhayathissa (Humanities) and Prof. Ven.
