A. Ashiq Abdul Rahiman

Ashiq completed his BSc in Chemical Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, Saudi Arabia and currently reads for an MSc in Environmental Sciences at PGIS, University of Peradeniya. His current research focuses on clay nanocomposites composites for pollutant remediation.

R. M. Viraj Niroshana Gunarathne

Viraj completed his B.Sc. degree in Botany from University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka, and currently reads the M.Sc. in Environmental Science at Post Graduate Institute of Science, University of Peradeniya. His current research aims on industrial sludge treatment via acid leaching, biochar amendment and phytoremediation.

Thilakshani Atugoda

Thilakshani has obtained her B.Sc. degree from University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka. Currently, she reads for MSc. in Environmental Sciences at PGIS, University of Peradeniya. Her work is based on nanocomposite characterization and kinetic studies for the removal of antibiotics and other emerging contaminant in aqueous media.

Madara Weerasooriyagerara

Madara has obtained her B.Sc. degree from UvaWellassa University. Currently, she reads for MSc. in Environmental Sciences at PGIS, University of Peradeniya. Her work is based on adsorption studies of biochar-based nanocomposite preparation for the removal of oxytetracycline antibiotic.

Sammani Ramanayake

Sammani completed her BSc in Chemistry at College of Chemical Sciences, Rajagiriya and currently reads for an MSc in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology at PGIS, University of Peradeniya. Her current research focuses synthesis and characterisation of metal-organic frameworks

Prabuddhi Wijekoon

Prabuddhi completed her B.Sc in Green Technology from University of Ruhuna, Sri Lanka and currently works for M.Phil. in Technology at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. Her current research focuses are application of biochar for landfill leachate treatment and municipal solid waste management.

Keerhtanan Santhirasekaram 

Keerthanan completed his B.Sc (special in chemistry) degree from Eastern University, Sri Lanka and currently reads for M.Phil. in Chemistry at the University of Sri Jeyawardenepura, Sri Lanka. His current research focuses on pharmaceutical and personal care products (PPCPs), its remediation from environment using biochar, and soil-biochar composites, and groundwater modeling.

Sandun Sandanayake

Sandun completed his BSc (special) in Environmental Sciences and Natural Resource
Management from Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka and currently reads for MPhil in Environmental Science at PGIS, University of Peradeniya. His current research is based on characterizing drinking water quality for Chronic Kidney Disease of unknown etiology (CKDu) endemic areas and finding geogenic sources and enrichment mechanisms of CKDu-risk factors in groundwater.

Oshadi Hettithanthri

Oshadi completed her BSc(sp) in Environmental Sciences and Natural Resource Management from Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka and currently reads for M.Phil. in Environmental Science at PGIS, University of Peradeniya. Her current research focuses on synthesis and application of biochar based composites as innovative solutions for water treatment.
