Senior Research Fellow/ Research Fellow
(Positions for Scholars on Sabbatical Leave)
Applications are invited from local and international scholars in the fields of Humanities and Social Sciences for the position of Senior Research Fellow/ Research Fellow at the International Center for Multidisciplinary Studies (ICMR) of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka. During the tenure, the Senior Research Fellow/ Research Fellow will work full-time on a collaborative research project with a team of researchers at ICMS.
Duration: 6 months – 12 months
Senior Research Fellow
Qualifications:
- A PhD from a recognized university in a discipline related to Humanities or Social Sciences
- At least 20 years of research experience at a recognized university
- An excellent record of publications in UGC recognized indexed journals
- International research experience
- An excellent working knowledge in English
Research Fellow
Qualifications:
- A PhD from a recognized university in a discipline related to Humanities or Social Sciences
- At least 5 years of research experience at a recognized university
- An excellent record of publications in UGC recognized indexed journals
- International research experience
- An excellent working knowledge in English
Duties and Responsibilities:
The main duties and responsibilities of the Senior Research Fellow/ Research Fellow include the following:
- Design, develop and implement research projects from their inception to completion
- Lead the production of high-quality research reports/publications
- Work with colleagues at ICMS to develop proposals to attract external research funding
- Contribute to collaborative research projects undertaken by ICMS.
- Provide research related training to the junior staff, when and where necessary.
